St. Lucia: The Caribbean’s Underrated Ritzy Retreat

First up is the marvelous island of St. Lucia.

We wish we could say it’s a secret escape away from the hordes of travelers flocking to The Bahamas and the like, but truth be told, this ritzy island just broke summer tourism records.

Dare we say tourism has erupted for this typically off-the-grid paradise boasting volcanic beaches and stunning blue waters?

I recently vacationed here myself, and it definitely lives up to the hype!

But, there’s some good news and bad news, kids.

Barbados may be recognizable name, yet somehow tends to be lost in the mix of Caribbean getaways.

This gorgeous cultural island is more than just a blip on your cruise itinerary – it’s a mainstay in its own right.

Not every Caribbean paradise offers such welcoming natives and rich culture, but that’s the case here, making Barbados even more enticing to visit.

The closest comparison might be Jamaica, as they’re both former British colonies and deeply rooted in African heritage.

Plus, they’re both so laid-back – exactly what you picture when envisioning “Caribbean vibes”.
